1. Establishment: Founded on July 23, 2022, under the banking business proclamation no 592/2008, Tsehay Bank is a share company with a vision to bridge financial service gaps and contribute to Ethiopia’s development.

2. Capital Growth: Initially starting with an authorized capital of Birr 2.8 billion and a paid-up capital of Birr 734 Million, Tsehay Bank has significantly increased its paid-up capital to Birr 1.16 Billion and its subscribed capital to Birr 5 Billion, demonstrating steady growth and investor confidence.

3. Branch Network: With a rapidly expanding branch network, Tsehay Bank has established 84+ branches as of December 2023, aiming to provide accessible banking services across Ethiopia. By the end of the 2022/23FY, the bank plans to increase its branches to 100.

4. Tagline and Aspiration: Embracing the tagline “Tsehay Bank, For All!”, Tsehay Bank aspires to serve all like the sun does, with a vision to become one of the best private banks in East Africa soon.

5. Ownership Structure: Tsehay Bank is established as a private individuals’ share company with 373 shareholders. Institutional shareholders, accounting for 35% of total share value, bring extensive experience in various business segments, ensuring a strong foundation for collaboration and success in commercial banking services.
